Information-digital competence development for future VET teachers in ecomonic sector
Abstract
The significance of modern teachers’ information and digital competence development in the context of the strategic tasks for information environment development in Ukraine and the education system reforming, improvement of VET teachers training quality is analyzed. It is shown that the problem of future VET teachers’ information and digital competence development in the field of economics has not yet received the sufficient scientific substantiation. The content of informative direction disciplines in educational-professional programs for VET teachers training is described. The goals and tasks of the discipline “Information Technologies in Education and TMT” for future VET teachers’ information and digital competence development in the field of economics are revealed. The importance of future VET teachers mastering skills on using modern Internet resources, own sites and blogs creating, using cloud technologies, social networks in education, etc. is proved. The connection of the discipline with other components of teachers educational and professional training program is shown. The list of program learning outcomes in the discipline according to the National qualification framework categories (knowledge, skills, communication, autonomy) is determined. The content and distinguishing features of the discipline are described. The students survey findings on their information and digital competence and using modern IT are presented. It is shown that digital assets occupy a very important place in a modern student’s life. At the same time, these resources are used mainly for communication in social networks.
