Problem aspects of labor vocational training

Abstract

The article reveals some of the urgent problems of the current state of vocational training for

labors, who significantly affect the quality of human resources and require consolidation of all

interested parties. The situation prevailing in our country due to transformation of social and

economic relations and necessity for transition to a market economy leads to a contradiction

between the real needs of the labor market and the outdate-based principles of the vocational

education system. The question concerning qualified labor training in the system of vocational

education and growth of occupations’ prestige in Ukraine is not simply a question of workforce

quality that guaranties innovative and postindustrial development of the state but becomes

quite important for national security of the country. Therefore, they need special attention

and solution priority. And, as experience shows, it should be done only by joint efforts of

government agencies, business, and society applying international experience and taking into

account national specificity.
