Open access statement
The scholarly journal "Professional Pedagogy" adheres to the principles of open science and operates under a Diamond Open Access model.
This means that:
- readers do not pay for access to publications,
- authors do not pay article processing or submission charges,
- full texts are freely and immediately available upon publication.
This model complies with international standards of BOAI, Plan S, DOAJ Best Practice Guidelines, and global open science policies.
1. Immediate and Free Access
All articles published in the journal are available online immediately upon publication, without embargo periods, delays, or access restrictions.
Users are permitted to:
- read,
- download,
- copy,
- distribute,
- print,
- index,
- perform text and data mining,
- link to full texts,
- use the content for any lawful purposes,
without requiring prior permission from the author or publisher.
This policy fully aligns with the definition of open access outlined in the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI).
2. Copyright and Licensing
Since issue 1(22)’2021, the journal has published all articles under the:
Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0)
Under this license:
- Authors retain full copyright to their works.
- Others may reuse, share, adapt, translate, or build upon the material — including for commercial purposes — provided that appropriate credit is given to the author and the original publication.
- The journal receives a non‑exclusive license to publish the work.
2.1. Rights of the Journal
The journal retains copyright to:
- typesetting,
- layout and design,
- graphical elements,
- logos, metadata, and other visual components.
These elements may not be reused without editorial permission.
3. Self‑Archiving Policy
The journal allows authors to deposit:
- the preprint (version before peer review),
- the postprint (peer‑reviewed author version),
- the publisher’s final PDF,
in any repository, including:
- institutional repositories,
- disciplinary repositories,
- public platforms (e.g., Zenodo, OSF, Figshare),
- academic networking sites (ResearchGate, Academia.edu),
- authors’ personal websites.
This may be done without embargo, on the condition that the deposited version includes:
- author(s) name(s),
- article title,
- journal title,
- issue/year,
- DOI,
- a link to the official publication.
The policy aligns with DOAJ Best Practice and Sherpa/RoMEO Green Open Access requirements.
