Special aspects of future designers training for their professional career development in Italy

Abstract

The experience of future designers training for further development of their

professional career in Italy is analysed. It is educed that education system of Italy is pretty complicated, training is flexibility-based but is not obligatory. Foremost, the attention is paid to skills applied and practical use. All Italian design-education system is mostly built on a self-education and self-management. Designer training institutions have strong connections with industry, that gives to students the opportunity not only to study from professionals but also gain practice and employ before completion of a course.

In the Bologna process framework various measures on design-education development are in place in Italy. Italian educational establishments have curriculums of flexible and design-education – its own philosophy based on use of traditional crafts‘ strong aspects those are historically-formed in each region.

Italian design-education appears as polycentric, flexible and dynamic system that іs characterized by many factors – from deep cultural tradition and features of national character to the specific terms of modern society globalization. The distinguishing feature of Italian design-education consists in taking into account students‘ interests by the system and providing plenty of practical and specialized disciplines.

All conditions for career development are created and/or provided in Italy. It is related with creation of flexible, state-considered life-long learning system. Already while studying a student is offered different types of assistance to make his/her employment easier. In Italy the centers of professional development are established. They provide informative, educational and consultative support for an individual.
