The student youth’s personal resources (according to social-pedagogic studies materials)
Abstract
Studying the student youth’s personal resources is determined by the society’s specific social, economic, and cultural processes characteristics. The competitive environments demand from a person the ability to adapt to new realities and achieve success both in professional activity and in everyday life. The ability to set real goals, mobilize their forces and opportunities for their achievement and to succeed is an indispensable component of human life in the modern society. The paper studies the students’ personal resources in achieving success. Taking into account the empirical material of 201- 2016, the research results show that “the desire for becoming a specialist of higher qualification”, “the hunger for personal development”, “the will to develop own abilities”, “the wish for self-realization”, “the efforts to finding decent work” belong to five core motives for entering a higher educational institution. The results of theoretical exploration and socio-psychological aspect of the problem are displayed. Motives and decisions that guided students for entering to NVTU, their ideas about life views and positive expectations concerning the future were analyzed. The analysis results allowed us to draw some conclusions: modern students want to “find decent work”, they want to “obtain knowledge and discover”, and they strive for creativity. Today the youth has changed qualitatively, and now it is necessary to have a new style of thinking, reasons realization and factors studying, in order to know and understand features of students’ socialization.
