ESSENCE AND DEFINITION OF CONCEPT «PEDAGOGICAL TECHNOLOGY»
Abstract
Based on studying the peculiarities of technological approach in training the author concretizes the essence and specifies the definition of a concept «pedagogical technology». The ideas of practice-oriented competence methodology substantially change present day organization of future skilled workers training in favor of pedagogical process technologization. But modern pedagogical technology theory is insufficiently developed for the time being: there is lack of unity of scientists’ thoughts as to the essence of the concept «Pedagogical technology»; there are more than 300 definitions of the term. It is ascertained that any proved technology has specific features, specifically the process distribution into interconnected stages; coordinated and step- by-step performance of actions directed at achievement of the goal set and obtaining the proper results; single value performance of the technology involved procedures and operations being a key condition for achieving the results. The author offers an explicit term definition through the closest gender and the type meaning. Hereby «pedagogical process organization» is determined as a definience. It is proved that pedagogical technology has a number of essential indicators that must be reflected in its definition, just: phasing and pedagogical process cyclic character; formulation of goals via training results revealing in student’s activities that are constantly checked in order to correct both methodology and results; training goals orientation followed by the overall training course guaranteeing the results achievement; productive pedagogical interaction of pedagogical process agents; beforehand developed pedagogical technology project with constituents, stages, procedures etc. listed in details. Besides, pedagogical technology includes such substantial indicator as its functioning as a system. Definition of the concept researched is specified in the following explanation: pedagogical technology is purposeful organization of pedagogical process which reflects scientifically substantiated project for logically structured pedagogical interaction system to achieve prospected training results.
