KEY COMPETENCIES IN UPDATING THE CONTENT OF VOCATIONAL TRAINING OF CATERING SPECIALISTS
Abstract
The article reveals urgency of providing graduates with opportunities to acquire knowledge, skills and values – competencies which are not quite professional. These are the key competencies that are important for a successful life. Vocational education should create favorable conditions for a person to be able to supplement or generate the key competencies. The author analyses understanding the concept «key competences» in a system of vocational education in home and foreign literature. Importance of key competencies in updating the content of catering specialists training is grounded. Hence professional competence are formed on the basis and with help of key competencies. Consistent stages of pedagogical planning the key competencies being outcomes of vocational education system are shown. The list of key competencies for vocational training of catering specialists, namely: communicative, psychological and organizational blocks of competences is worked out. The author offers a structure of educational and methodological complex for formation and development of key competencies of catering specialists as part of occupational qualification of future workers on the basis of modern pedagogical technology.
