EDUCATION PROCESS AND PROBLEMS OF INDIVIDUALIZATION IN A SYSTEM OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION
Abstract
In the article the author accentuates the fact that in modern vocational education system the following things prevail: verbal-entertaining schemes of knowledge gaining; hindering of students’ imagination progress, reflexive thinking, and self-knowledge. Thus, inadequacy of self-appraisal resulting in formal information memorizing that is officially declared as «knowledge gaining» is formed. In addition to aforementioned ones the article reveals other problems and contradictions concerning quantitative increase of graduating specialists without any support of due raise of quality level for their vocational training, mental and ethical norms forming, self-sacrificing attitude to occupational duties performance etc. Hence there is a need in reinterpretation of conventional approaches to training problems in vocational education system. The author has thoroughly analyzed scientists’ main world-view attitudes to solving key questions of training at vocational schools, just: educational process individualization; reflexive thinking formation; actualization of future experts’ and teachers’ self-knowledge processes, self-appraisal, and self-perfection. It is indicated that contradiction between generality of vocational training and demands of particular individuals is typical for present-day learning at vocational schools. The author also analyzes different variants of individualization: training differentiation that is students grouping on basis of their individual peculiarities or peculiarities complexes for training according to several different curricula; intragroup individualization of educational work; taking the course according to individually different speed – acceleration or deceleration. Certain non-conventional approaches to communication and interaction between a teacher and a student are offered. At the end of the article the author concludes that one of the principal conditions for successful students training, choice and realization of professional career, forming in vocational school students the image about professional success is development of reflexive thinking of educational process subjects, increase of confidence in one’s own power and certain independence of views, ability to generate new, non-standard ideas that do not coincide with conventional...
