Model of VET institutions leaders’ professional self-improvement in the process of inservice training

Abstract

The model of VET institutions leaders’ professional self-improvement in the process of in-service training is considered in the article; it significantly changes the characteristics of the process and results of their training in the system of postgraduate education. The result of implementing the designed model should be significant increase of level indicators of VET institutions leaders’ qualification as managers and administrators. It is emphasized on creating the pedagogical conditions for continuous professional self-improvement of VET institutions leaders during in-service training courses; the value priorities for in-service training process of the mentioned category of learners are determined. The theoretical analysis of pedagogical sources in the theory and methods of education institutions leaders’ in-service training in recent years, in particular vocational education and training institutions leaders is made. The author discloses the important role of postgraduate education, as the component of continuous education, which complements and broadens the basic professional education, forms creative environment for self-development and self-improvement. The system of VET institutions leaders’ in-service training should be substantially improved based on educational process organization andragogic component, which contributes most to the implementation of the concept “lifelong learning”.
