Dual training system implementation in higher education institutions in the training process of water transport future specialists
Abstract
The article outlines the provisions for dual system implementation in higher education institutions (HEIs) in the training process of water transport future specialists. The main issues and challenges on dual education system implementing management HEIs. The author substantiates the necessity to introduce this training system at the State university of infrastructure and technology taking into account its advantages. It is scientifically grounded and proved that the organization of the educational process via the dual form is aimed at the necessity to individualize training, enhances applied training via integration a large volume of internship practice into the educational process, creates qualitatively new conditions for practical training organization, increases students’ professional mobility to, undoubtedly, raise graduates’ competitiveness and ensures their employment in maritime fleet. The dual system is focused on first-hand training of water transport specialists for their practical professional life, involves direct involvement of maritime courts in this process and differs from existing traditional training system thanks to training content focus and presence degree to maritime fleet real-life environment.
