POSTAL OPERATOR: ANALYSIS OF THE STANDARD OF PROFESSIONAL (VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL) EDUCATION

Abstract

The relevance of the article is determined by the need to further improve the standard of professional (vocational and technical) education in the labor profession «Postal operator» in accordance with the modern needs of employers and the labor market.

Purpose: analysis of the standard of professional (vocational and technical) education for the labor profession «Postal Operator».

Methods: theoretical analysis of regulatory and legal documents regulating professional (vocational and technical) education in the labor profession «Postal operator», legislative acts on the development of education in Ukraine, publication in databases GoogleScholar, OUCI, NRAT, etc.; searching for information using search engines, databases and websites by keywords; comparative analysis; generalization; prognostication.

Results: based on the analysis of current legislative and regulatory sources, materials and recommendations of international and all-Ukrainian scientific and practical conferences, foreign experience, the appropriateness of the employer's initiative was confirmed when a professional standard and a map of professions were developed; the definition of «standard» has been clarified; the peculiarities of professional qualifications by classes of postal operators are highlighted; differences in professional competences for each professional qualification are established.

Conclusions: based on the study of foreign experience, it was found that when developing a professional standard and map of professions, the leading role and initiative belong to the employer; the study of regulatory and legal documents, scientific and methodical literature made it possible to clarify the definition of «standard»; on the basis of the analysis of the current standard of professional (vocational and technical) education, the peculiarities of professional qualifications were identified by classes of postal operators and differences in professional competences were established for each professional qualification; the received data can be used in the future to modernize the «Postal operator» standard.
