MOTIVATION AND VALUES IN THE STRUCTURE OF PROFESSIONAL ORIENTATION OF PERSONALITY
Abstract
The relevance of the study of the problem of the development of students' orientation to professional activity: the instability of modern socio-economic conditions of society's development, the decline in the prestige of working professions, the difficulty of employment cause negative trends regarding the orientation of students to the chosen profession; in the youth environment, the importance of values related to spiritual interests decreases, the values of social satisfaction and material well-being become priorities; these changes affect the self-determination of modern youth in the chosen profession, graduates of educational institutions refuse to work in the specialty they have acquired; this significantly affects the effectiveness of the use of personnel potential and intellectual capabilities of citizens.
Purpose: to carry out a theoretical analysis of the structure of the professional orientation of the individual.
Methods: analysis of philosophical, general scientific, methodical, psychological and pedagogical literature and generalization of its results - to identify the state of development of the problem; comparison, juxtaposition - to compare researchers' approaches to solving the problem of developing the professional orientation of an individual.
Results: a theoretical analysis of the structure of a person's professional orientation is carried out.
Conclusions: it is found that the professional orientation is the leading integrative property of the personality, which is based on the general orientation of the personality and through the prism of a certain profession reflects human and civil positions, understanding of the meaning of life and one's place in it, features of worldview, life ideals, values, plans, motives, needs, aspirations; it is shown that the content of professional orientation includes professional interests and goals, the need for constant professional self-improvement, professional attitudes, beliefs and ideals; the relevance of distinguishing the motivational and value components in the structure of the professional orientation of the individual has been proven, the approaches of scientists to the determination of their indicators have been analyzed; the need to improve the scientific-methodical toolkit for the study of the professional orientation of the individual as an integrative system and the demand for the development of ways of its development have been revealed.
