PROBLEMS OF RECRUITMENT FOR THE TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS FOR PROFESSIONAL (VOCATIONAL) EDUCATION SCHOOL (P(V)E SCHOOL) OF THE SEWING PROFILE (BASED ON ANALYSIS OF THE NEEDS OF THE LABOR MARKET AND THE MOTIVATIONS OF APPLICANTS)
Abstract
The relevance of the article is determined by the need to substantiate the problems that constrain the processes of replenishment of domestic institutions of higher education (HEIs) with entrants from vocational education of the sewing profile, and to determine ways to overcome them.
Aim: allocation of problems of recruitment of future vocational school teachers from the specialty "Vocational Education" specialization «Technology of Light Industry Products» and justification of proposals for their solution.
Methods: analysis of literature, educational and professional programs (EPP), motivational letters of applicants and other sources, surveys, comparisons to identify problems of recruitment of future teachers for Professional (vocational) education school (P(V)E school) of sewing profile; systematization and generalization – to solve the specified problems.
Results: based on the analysis of scientific literature, EPP “Professional education (Technology of light industry products)», statistical data, materials from websites, motivation letters of applicants, the needs of the modern labor market of Ukraine for qualified workers for light industry and pedagogical workers for vocational training in the sewing profile were outlined, the problems of recruitment of future bachelors and masters in professional education of the specialization «Technology of light industry products» were identified and suggestions for their solution were formulated.
Conclusions: the number of P(V)E school of Ukraine, which prepares qualified workers for light industry at the current stage, is determined; it was determined that the training of teaching staff for P(V)E school is provided in 8 institutions of higher education (HEIs); the problems of recruitment for the training of future teachers for P(V)E school in the sewing profile have been identified (low demand of entrants for this specialization, lack of motivation of part of the entrants for teaching activities, insufficient understanding by them of the features of the future profession); ways to solve these problems are proposed (intensification of career guidance work, strengthening of pedagogical training of those seeking education under this EPP, clear formulation of the features of EPP, active coverage of the process of training at the EPP and employment of graduates).
