FORMATION OF OCCUPATIONAL PROTECTION COMPETENCE IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING SPECIALISTS

Abstract

Relevance: the formation of employees' motivation to observe safety directly affects the reduction of industrial injuries and the increase of the enterprises income. Therefore, the training of specialists in the sphere of mechanical engineering for occupational health and safety professional activity in order to ensure its effectiveness should take place at the stage of students' training in higher education institutions.

Purpose: determine the content of labor protection competence of mechanical engineering specialists as an integral component of professional training and to outline the efficient ways of its formation.

Methods: theoretical (analysis of higher education standards, publications); empirical (questionnaires; observation of the educational process; expert surveys).

Results: modern approaches to enterprise risks management were analyzed, the content of risk-oriented thinking was clarified; on the basis of a risk-oriented approach, the content of the concept of "labor safety competence" is defined; the content of the occupational labor protection competence of a mechanical engineering specialist at each stage of products manufacturing in the machine-building industry was determined; the ways of formation of labor protection competence of future mechanical engineering specialists are defined and characterized.

Conclusions: the determination of the content of the labor protection competence of future mechanical engineering specialists included the analysis of theoretical studies devoted to the specific features of the professional training of machine-building specialists and the specific characteristics of risk-oriented thinking (according to DSTU ISO 9001:2015), as well as the study of the conditions of the professional activity of employees at each stage of creation and manufacturing of the production of machine-building industry.
