Monitoring of vocational education in modern conditions
Abstract
Development of a modern state largely depends on the quality of education obtained by its citizens. Therefore the main task of present days is to provide high quality education to all segments of population at all stages and levels. Completion of this task is subject to getting full and objective information about the national education. Thus the problem of monitoring in education, in particular monitoring the quality of vocational school graduates training is actualized.
While conducting our research we found out that to ensure the quality of vocational education in modern conditions it is important to develop a system of internal education quality evaluation in vocational schools. Hence, it should be directed at evaluating the education quality in terms of final results of schools’ performance, namely training of future skilled workers. Evaluation of vocational school graduates training must be implemented via the monitoring its five components (intellectual, activity, professionally important qualities, communicative, reflexive). We suggest to carry out processing of monitoring data on the basis of qualimetric approach using quotient-criterial models.
The prospect of our further research consists in determining organizational and pedagogical conditions of education quality monitoring conduct in vocational schools.
