THE INFLUENCE OF LEARNING STYLES AND TYPES OF INTELLIGENCE ON DEVELOPING THE PEDAGOGICAL MASTERY OF FUTURE LABOR TRAINING AND TECHNOLOGIES TEACHERS

Abstract

Relevance. The importance of the research is the necessity to study the issue of individualization of the educational process on the basis of knowledge about the types of intelligence and learning styles of future teachers of labor training and technologies; substantiation of their influence on the developing students’ pedagogical mastery; analysis of the current state of developing the studied quality in the conditions of master's training in higher education establishments.

Purpose: to explore the features of known types of intelligence and learning styles; to experimentally discover the types of intelligence that are the most suitable for the work of a teacher of labor education; to find out the influence of teaching style on the development of pedagogical skills of future labor training and technologies teachers.

Methods: theoretical: analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, observation and abstraction; empirical: study and analysis of pedagogical experience, training programs for future labor training and technologies teachers, and the results of their activities; questionnaire-diagnostic: survey of future teachers of labor training and technologies.

The results: the importance of individualization of the educational process is theoretically substantiated; the dominant types of intelligence and future teachers’ learning styles are identified; the system of future labor training and technologies teachers’ developing pedagogical mastery in the conditions of a magistracy in Oleksandr Dovzhenko Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University is analyzed; effective technologies for developing the studied quality are proposed, taking into account the learning styles of students.

Conclusions: it is experimentally proved that the dominant for the specifics of the labor training and technologies teacher is kinetic intelligence, which is inherent in people who like to create things with their own hands, have excellent physical coordination; among the learning styles of future labor training and technologies teachers, the predominant style is “Practice”, which according to its characteristics (focus on practical activities) contributes to the developing pedagogical mastery of future professionals. However, the tasks of the teacher are to harmoniously apply knowledge about the type of intelligence and learning styles to improve the educational process and increase the productive activity of applicants for education.
