BASIC DETERMINANTS OF LEGAL CULTURE FORMING OF FUTURE QUALIFIED SEAFOOD WORKERS

Abstract

The article substantiates the principal pedagogical conditions of the purposeful formation of the prospective skilled seafarers’ legal culture in the Institutions of Vocational (Vocational and Technical) Education (hereinafter:  (IofV(VT)E). The formation of the prospective skilled seafarers’ legal culture is primarily aimed at mastering the contemporary legal knowledge, particularly in the field of international maritime law, developing students’ legal awareness, their ability to settle successfully future professional legal issues, readiness to replenish constantly the amount of legal knowledge in self-education activities. Nowadays these issues are urgent for graduates of Vocational Education Institutions of the maritime profile: domestic shipping has been changing considerably, altering working conditions of the floating crew, on international vessels as well.
