Content of professional education of future service sector specialists
Abstract
The article is devoted to problems of VET development in Ukraine under conditions of economic relations system changes, the significant upgrading of industry equipment and the emergencing of new trends associated with the movement towards post-industrial society. Legislation on VET content quality assurance is analysed and it is evident there is a great need on their permanent upgrading according to enterprisescustomers‘ needs. Theoretical analyses of various pedagogical sources on forming preconditions and specific features of VET content upgrade, and the attention is paid to the development of an individual‘s inborn, social and creative capacities. It is defined that state standards are a very important basis for VET content design and development. Their creation has been in place since 2006. Those standards were oriented on traditional VET system and their essence was studied in details. The result of a state VET modular-competence standard‘s analysis is represented through the example of occupation ―Tailor‖. Their main advantage is a possibility for a VET school to change its curriculum according to an employer‘s need taking into account time-management for subjects. It is concluded that state VET standard on sewing sector from 2016 is the the most qualitative as ensures the achievement of practice outcomes. The issues of extending occupations via VET content integration and the examples of some curriculum needed at labour market are represented. It is concluded that training the occupations of sewing sector increases qualified workers‘ mobility and enterprises‘ competitive performance.
