Rejection policy

1. Ethical Principles and Impartiality

The Editorial Board of the journal "Professional Education" (Professionalna Pedahohika) adheres to the principles of equality and scientific objectivity. The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board evaluate submitted manuscripts solely on their intellectual and scientific merit. The evaluation process is conducted without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.

2. Grounds for Rejection

A manuscript may be rejected at various stages of the editorial process:

A. Desk Rejection

The Scientific or Technical Editor may reject a manuscript during the initial screening if:

  • The manuscript is outside the scope and aims of the journal.

  • The submission fails to meet formatting requirements (citations, IMRAD structure, word count).

  • Signs of plagiarism or breaches of publication ethics are detected.

  • The linguistic quality of the text is insufficient for academic publication.

B. Rejection Following Peer Review

The Editor-in-Chief may reject a manuscript based on expert evaluations if:

  • Independent reviewers provide negative assessments regarding the scientific novelty or methodology.

  • The research lacks sufficient practical or theoretical significance for the field of vocational education.

C. Rejection After Revision

The Editorial Board reserves the right to reject a manuscript if:

  • The author fails to adequately address the reviewers' critical comments (in cases where the decision was "publish after major revisions").

  • The revisions made do not resolve the fundamental flaws of the work.
