Pedagogical landscape for future restaurant service masters’ professional competence forming

Abstract

The article claims the up-to-dateness for upgrading traditional approaches to future restaurant service masters training with respect to social-economic reforms, technological and technical processes modernization, work-management forms etc. It is grounded that forming the future restaurant service masters’ professional competence in VET schools must be realized under conditions close to restaurant sector reality.

Based on results of scientific papers analysis on defining pedagogical landscape aimed at improving future restaurant service masters professional training their common features for positive students’ motivation to obtaining proper knowledge on professional activity are generalized, upgrading professional training content, implementing innovative forms, methods, training technologies, integrated training-methodological complexes for professional purpose. After considering the results of expert factor value assessment, potentially  important and affective for future restaurant service masters’ professional competence forming processes, the following pedagogical landscape is outlined: rising students’ motivation to professional knowledge and skills obtaining; upgrading professional training content taking into account modern restaurants service production technologies; using the integrated training-methodological complex for forming future restaurant service masters’ professional competence; providing project-based professional training for future restaurant service masters. The insight is provided into importance of the following pedagogical landscape in the context of the whole professional training system functioning and improving future masters on restaurant service applied training in VET schools
