Description of the Editorial and Publishing Process
Stage 1. Manuscript Submission
The author submits a manuscript through the OJS system by completing the metadata and uploading the article file. OJS automatically registers the submission in the editorial queue.
Submission guidelines: https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/1/uk/about/submissions
Stage 2. Initial Editorial Screening
The handling editor evaluates the manuscript’s compliance with the journal’s thematic focus, the requirements for the abstract and manuscript structure (https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/index.php/1/uk/Abstract_and_manuscript_structure), as well as requirements for practice-oriented (https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/index.php/1/uk/Requirements_for_practice_oriented_articles) and fundamental research articles (https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/index.php/1/uk/Requirements_for_fundamental_research_articles).
· If the manuscript does not align with the journal’s thematic focus, the submission is rejected.
· If the manuscript does not meet the structural requirements, it is returned to the author for revision.
· If the manuscript meets scholarly and structural requirements, it is forwarded to the technical editor.
The technical editor verifies compliance with the journal’s technical formatting requirements, provided in the Instructions for Authors (https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/index.php/1/uk/Technical_formatting_requirements).
· If non-compliance is identified, the manuscript is returned for revision.
· If requirements are met, the manuscript is forwarded for plagiarism screening (https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/1/uk/Plagiarism_policy).
Stage 3. Plagiarism Check
Plagiarism screening is performed by the journal’s plagiarism manager.
Procedure: https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/1/uk/Plagiarism_policy
· If the similarity index exceeds the acceptable threshold (more than 15%), the submission is rejected.
· If the report confirms the absence of plagiarism or an acceptable similarity level (below 15%), the manuscript is sent for peer review.
Stage 4. Peer Review
To carry out a double-blind peer review, the Managing Editor selects two reviewers from the journal’s database whose scholarly profiles and language competencies correspond to the subject matter and the language of the manuscript, and sends them a request to review the manuscript. In the event of discrepancies between the decisions of the two reviewers, the Managing Editor appoints a third reviewer.

Reviewers provide conclusions and recommendations:
- Recommend for publication
- Recommend for publication subject to minor revisions
- Recommend substantial revision followed by a second round of peer review
- Do not recommend for publication
Stage 5. Editorial Processing and Decision-Making
Following the peer-review process, the responsible editor evaluates the reviewers’ reports and makes one of the following decisions:
- Publish
- Publish after minor revisions have been addressed
- Publish after substantial revision with subsequent re-review
- Reject the submission
Once the decision to accept the submission has been made, bibliographic editing of the article is carried out: verification of the UDC classification, accuracy of references in the bibliography, correctness of transliteration and translation, and consistency of in-text citations. Guidelines for reference formatting: https://jrnls.ivet.edu.ua/index.php/1/uk/Abstract_and_manuscript_structure
-
If errors are identified (e.g., missing active DOIs and URLs, incorrect in-text citations, etc.), the article is returned for revision.
-
If no remarks are made by the bibliographic editor, the article proceeds to language editing. After completion of language editing, the article is sent for typesetting.
Stage 6. Production and Publishing
The Technical Editor layouts the article in both HTML and PDF formats. The final version is coordinated with the author, verified by the Managing Editor, approved by the Editor-in-Chief, and subsequently published in the current issue of the journal.
