Modernization ways for food industry specialists training at vet schools

Abstract

The article discusses VET development problems in Ukraine, due to the change of economic relations system, substantial renovation of industrial equipment and emergence of new trends within the framework of moving to a postindustrial society.

Creation of a modern highly efficient education system in Ukraine is one of the most important conditions for the country’s competitiveness in the European and world markets. The stateof-arts in Ukraine due to transforming socio-economic relations leads to a contradiction between real LM needs and outdated-based principles of VET system. The issue of training specialists in Ukraine in VET sector is not only a matter of labour force quality to ensure innovative, post-industrial development of the state, but it’s getting very important for ensuring national security protection of the country. Therefore, it requires special attention and first top priority solution.

The author carried out a theoretical analysis of pedagogical sources of conditions and peculiarities for VET content updating, VET system management issues, appropriate changes within the professional training system of food industry specialists, bringing the structure of vocational education in line with LM demand and employers' requirements. The attention is focused on formatting professionally important qualities for future food industry specialists, manifested in psychological, theoretical and practical equipment for professional activity. The main causes and shortcomings of modern VET system are determined, the directions of professional training modernization for food industry specialists in VET schools are justified.
