Scientific basis of domestic professional education prestige improving
Abstract
The modern state of professional education, the problems of its rapidly decreasing prestige, the problems of contradiction, which prove the urgency of justifying the
scientific basis for increasing the prestige of domestic vocational education, are characterized in the work. The degree of awarding the "prestige" phenomenon in
foreign and domestic scientific thoughts is analysed, sociological and interdisciplinary approaches to its study are singled out. The main criteria of professional education prestige are defined: recognition of the importance of its teaching and educational functions in society; ensuring international mobility of student youth; creation of conditions for the formation of professional skills; relevance of specializations to the actual needs of the labour market, the satisfaction of employers with specialists training quality. The main directions and mechanisms for increasing the prestige level of vocational education are formulated: modernization of vocational training in educational institutions of I and II degrees of accreditation, ensuring the development of human capital and the formation of a society with a high level of motivation for success; favourable moral and social climate creation where the successful professional career is thought to be prestigious; introduction of the principles of the development of European educational systems; creation of a new training model for future specialists; opening of career development centres and special Internet resources for career counselling; systemic application in educational process of innovative pedagogical, industrial and information-communication technologies; introduction of prestige dynamics monitoring outcomes for professions and educational institutions; systematic updating of the Ukrainian standard of a profession prestige.
