Problems of a culturelogist’s professional formation
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of professional culture and the problems of formation of professional culture of experts in cultural studies. It highlights the issues of formation of professional culture in the post-Soviet space and in Ukraine. Noted that that a professional culture can be defined as a kind of shared culture (subculture) and personal education, which reflects the degree to which one acquires special theoretical knowledge and practical skills to perform a particular activity, which is carried out on the basis of the formed system of values and ethical guidelines. The mechanism of formation of professional culture is that the community of experts in a certain area in the process of performing the same professional duties and such tasks generates similar views and attitudes as their job and lifestyle in General. Problems of formation of professional culture of cultural studies can be explained by the short duration of training, and the presence of different industries in which graduates can work: not only academics-researchers and lecturers, and practical (applied) cultural
studies (art managers, curators and organizers of exhibitions, etc.). But in the professional world of cultural studies is gradually accumulating its own professional culture, in the structure which presents the motivational value and operationallyactivity components.
Operationally-activity component suggests the presence of professional knowledge as the basis of improvement of professional labour, professional skills, ideas and knowledge about the profession, willingness and ability to implement professional reflection, professional creativity, etc.
